Gross abuse of Blogger's new "Add Picture" function...

The week in pictures:

Bledisloe Cup

04

Jerry Collins proves himself as the hardest man in world rugby at the moment by upsetting the marshmallow soft Wallabies.

03

George Gregan and his fellow 'powder-puff' boys have now lost their last three matches... heads will roll, and yours could be the first George.

The Ashes

Andrew Flintoff

'Freddy' Flintoff and his mates bring the old and arrogant Aussies down a notch or two.

Dizzy and Punter

It's time for 'Dizzy' Gillespie to make way for someone younger and more talented... and a haircut wouldn't hurt either Diz.

The Senate

John Howard claims victory. ABC News Online

I'm not sure if Little Johnny is still this happy about his 'apparent' Senate majority.

Could Barnaby Joyce be one of those Senators who have designs on holding the balance of power? Or is he just setting out on a money-grabbing exercise for Queensland?

NZ Labour leaders

Former New Zealand PM loses his battle with diabetes. Gained respect when he stood up to international leaders such as Reagan, Thatcher and Mitterand. He had more backbone than ten John Howards.

Helen Clark said she was greatly saddened. "Obviously right now our thoughts are with David's family and friends ... His lasting contribution will be his advocacy for a nuclear-free New Zealand, which remains as relevant today as it was in the 1980s when his government adopted it."

Tours

sigur ros

Sigur Ros came to Australia, but couldn't find Perth on the map. It'll take time, but I'll get over it eventually. If you're not familiar with Sigur Ros, it was their song that 'made' the jaguar shark scene in The Life Aquatic. Amazingly it was left off the soundtrack.

Architecture in Helsinki will be here in a couple of weeks, that'll make me happy again.

I know it's been a while between posts... but hey, what are you gonna do?
